ELM 327 function and some old product

ELM 327 purposes:

1.Read diagnostic trouble ciphers, both generic and manufacturer-specific, and brandish their significance (over 3000 generic cipher delineations in the database).
2.Clear problem codes and turn off the MIL ("Check motor" lightweight)
3.Display present sensor data, encompassing:
4.Engine RPM
5.Calculated burden Value
6.Coolant warmth
7.Fuel System Status
8.Vehicle Speed
9.Short period Fuel Trim
10.Long period Fuel Trim
11.Intake Manifold force
12.Timing Advance
13.Intake Air warmth
14.Air Flow Rate
15.Absolute Throttle Position
16.Oxygen sensor voltages/associated short period fuel trims
17.Fuel scheme status
18.Fuel force
19.Many other functio of ELM327....

The older product:
The ELM320 allows you to converse to your 41.6KHz J1850 PWM protocol vehicle through a standard RS232 serial attachment, using only simple ASCII instructions. This facts and figures protocol was routinely used in numerous Ford engine Company vehicles (but is now being restored by CAN).
The facts and figures sheet displays how to attach this IC into a reduced cost circuit which presents all the functionality of a scan device that cost considerably more. Once constructed, a simple fatal submission, and possibly a USB to RS232 converter are all that are needed to converse' to your vehicle. You need only send a couple of easy keyboard instructions (ascii individual features) and all the data formatting, mistake checking, bus arbitration, etc. is then managed by the ELM320 for you.
If you presently use one of our v1.x ICs, you will be pleased to know that this version (v2.0) is pin-compatible with your IC (the only distinction is that linefeeds are now on by default). If your IC is mounted in a socket, you can easily unplug the vintage IC and close in the new.

Similar to the ELM320, the ELM322 is for connecting to an OBDII equipped vehicle which uses the 10.4KHz J1850 VPW format. This standard is typically used in General engines company and some (Daimler) Chrysler vehicles.
As with all of our OBD ICs, the client need only issue the yearned instructions through an RS232 serial attachment and the facts and figures formatting, mistake ascertaining, bus arbitration, etc. on the vehicle side is taken care of by the ELM322. This allows experimenters to inexpensively conceive their own scan device.

If you presently use one of our v1.x ICs, you will be pleased to know that this type (v2.0) is pin-compatible with the vintage, so you can easily replace your IC if you desire to upgrade.
